Tour de Kota: The Tour de Kota “College Campus Cruise” will bring hundreds of bike riders to Vermillion Thursday, June 9. Riders will bike from Freeman to Vermillion and stay for the day and last overnight of the tour. The Tour de Kota campsite will be at the USD tailgate grounds where food vendors, KVHT live remote, and live music will entertain the crowd – the public is welcome. Camping space and residence halls are available to riders, and some riders also like the option of staying with a host family. If anyone is interested in hosting a rider in their home or allowing camping on their property, please contact the Chamber at 624-5571. Plans are also being made to transport visitors around town so businesses and attractions can roll out the red carpet. Watch for more details in the coming weeks – this is a great opportunity to welcome visitors to Vermillion. Are you interested in becoming more active in the community? This committee works to plan and promote events that the VCDC hosts such as the Annual 4th of July Celebration, the Annual Christmas Celebration and the VCDC Annual Banquet.
