The win was the second straight for the Coyotes. “The ladies played very well in doubles. There was a sense of urgency,” South Dakota head coach Malcolm Gilreath said. “After we won the doubles point, the ladies fought hard in singles against a St. Cloud State team that is ranked sixth in the North Central Region in Division II. The depth of our team really showed today.” The Coyotes won all three doubles matches in impressive fashion to earn the doubles team point. Seniors Shadi Soleymani (Vasteras, Sweden) and Alena Sergeychik (Moscow, Russia) earned an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, while sophomore Michelle Elkin (Omaha, Neb.) and freshman Nina Barudzic (Kragujevac, Serbia) team up for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
