The lakes were closed to swimming, but new beach water samples taken this week show a healthy level of bacteria PIERRE, S.D. – Governor Kristi Noem is now accepting applications for the Governor’s Office fall internship program. Student interns will work with staff on various projects depending on interests and strengths, but typical duties include aiding the governor’s general counsel, director of constituent services, and communications team; conducting policy research; preparing policy briefings; and staffing the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. Internships provide students with first-hand knowledge of state government and the functions of a governor’s office.
